So much for all the rumors claiming that the iPhone is coming to buy dreamweaver Verizon. For now, the carrier is getting the iPad instead. Apple and Verizon Wireless today announced that the Apple iPad will be available in more than 2,000 Verizon Wireless retail stores starting October 28.
Wait. What about Apple's exclusive cheap dreamweaver contract with AT&T, you ask?
Here's the trick: Verizon won't sell the iPad (Wi-Fi + 3G)—the version of the tablet that runs on AT&T's 3G network, it will instead sell the Wi-Fi-only iPad with its own Verizon MiFi 2200 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot.
The iPad will be available in three bundles:
Apple iPad 16GB + MiFi: $629.99
Apple iPad 32GB + MiFi: $729.99
Apple iPad 64GB + MiFi: $829.99
As far as data plans for the iPad, Verizon will offer one: Up to 1GB of data for $20 per month.
Essentially, Verizon's bundle prices are the same as what you'd pay for the iPad with integrated AT&T 3G. But Apple and AT&T offer a choice of two service plans: 250MB a month for $14.99 or 2GB month for $25.
Incidentally, AT&T today also buy dreamweaver announced that it would begin selling the Wi-Fi + 3G iPad in its retail stores on the same day: October 28.
The upside to buying an iPad from Verizon? Versatility: The MiFi provides Internet access for up to five devices at a range of about 30 to 40 feet. But it is one more thing to tote along with you, though the MiFi is only about the size of a pack of cigarettes, cheap dreamweaver but half as thick (3.5 by 2.3 by 0.4 inches).
It's also one more thing you need to keep charged. Battery life varies depending on how many devices you have connected at cheap software once. Sony PS3 Won't Need a Disc to Watch Netflix
Until now, Netflix subscribers have had to insert a special disc each time they wanted to watch movies on the Sony PlayStation 3. As of Monday, no longer.
On Monday, Oct. 18, Sony will transform that discbuy dreamweaver into an app that will be accessible from the main screen of the game console, eliminating the need for a disc.
In addition, there's another bonus: some of the movies that can be downloaded from the Netflix service will be in 1080i and Dolby 5.1 surround sound, cheap dreamweaver using Dolby Digital PlusSony said on its PlayStation blog.

Accompanying the "Medal of Honor" release this Tuesday, SteelSeries has branded its high-end keyboards, mice, and mousepads with deigns to complement the first-person shooter.

The four HDTVs and Blu-ray player all include a remote control that features a thumb-sized QWERTY keyboard. It was very comfortable to use.
Last week Logitech launched a Google TV product that was nearly identical to Sony's Google TV Blu-ray player. New Windows Phone 7 Phones: Everything You Need to Know
Microsoft unleashed Windows Phone 7, its new mobile platform, with handsets for AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile, and PCMag spent hands-on time with all of them.
Microsoft finally took the wraps off Windows Phone 7, buy dreamweaver its new mobile platform today—and along with it came a plethora of handsets. All in all, AT&T gets three new Windows Phone 7 phones, T-Mobile gets two, and Sprint will start selling one early next year. Also, additional phones were announced on foreign carriers in Canada, Mexico, the U.K., Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Singapore, and Australia. The OS will debut in some European markets on Oct. 21.
PCMag was at the U.S. launch event incheap dreamweaver New York City and we got quality hands-on time with all five of the U.S. handsets that will be released this year. And overall, we were impressed. According to mobile analyst, Sascha Segan, the newest mobile OS demos very well.

Too many of the Windows Phone 7 screens don't rotate, leaving you craning your neck to try to operate the phone at a 90-degree angle. Also, this slider sports a strange QWERTY keyboard whose shift key is a tiny little silver circle in the upper left hand corner. Still, there's a lot to be said for a Windows Phone 7 with a keyboard. AT&T and LG said they would pitch the Quantum to businesses, where users will be digging into Windows Phone 7's excellent Microsoft Office capabilities.
Samsung Focus (AT&T)
Samsung's Focus is, along with the HTC HD7, one of the most impressive of the new crop of Windows Phones. This slab-style, touch-screen-only handset is the slimmest, the brightest and maybe the simplest. It's also the only Windows Phone that can expand with memory cards. buy dreamweaver The Focus's main selling point is its 4-inch 800-by-480 Super AMOLED screen.
Dell Venue Pro (T-Mobile)

Facebook's One-Time Passwords Aren't the Answer
Two new security features on Facebook are welcome signs that the company takes privacy and security seriously, but for me they raise as many questions as they answer.
The main change is the addition of optional one-time passwords (OTP). If you're on a computer you don't trust, such as a kiosk or in a cafe, and you don't want to buy dreamweaver enter your password, you can request a one-time password (by texting "otp" to 32665 from a US mobile phone). The OTP is returned as a reply text message. cheap dreamweaver Then user can then log in from any computer and the OTP is good for 20 minutes.
On the one hand I am impressed and tempted to ask why Facebook is able to do this when none of the major US banks can. On the other hand, there's a good reason why US banks don't implement one-time passwords exactly this way: If you were to lose your phone, even for a brief period, your account could be compromised.
Here's how it works: You go away, maybe to the bathroom, and leave your phone behind. Someone who knows your e-mail address picks cheap dreamweaver up your phone and requests a one-time password. They can then log into your Facebook account from any computer for 20 minutes.
The theory behind one-time passwords in most cases is to add a second factor to authentication, not to replace the one factor with a different single factor. In security terminology the OTP adds something you have (your phone) to something you know (your password). Facebook is doing this to save you from having to enter your password on a strange computer, not to strengthen authentication.
They could mitigate the problem of lost phones by always issuing a challenge question, what they call your Security Question on the Account Settings page. Facebook hasn't yet responded to my questions about it. I'd test it myself, but one-time passwords are being rolled out gradually and haven't reached my account yet. (I'll update this entry if they reply.)
